HELPING COACHES GET MORE CLIENTS SINCE 2014!

Whatever it takes

I recorded a podcast interview with Bedros Keuilian yesterday, and it was a real eye-opener.

Bedros came to the United States when he was just a child, and he couldn’t speak a word of English. His family scrambled to stay alive, and he even had to dive in dumpsters with his father to get food that just expired and was thrown out by the grocery store.

He carried those lessons into his entrepreneurial life, and he’s built many successful businesses in the fitness world by employing the same scrappiness that he had as a kid growing up in a challenging situation.

The conversation got me thinking about a lot of stuff …

Like how most of us talk a big game and make it seem like we’d do absolutely anything for success, when we really aren’t willing to do whatever it takes.

Sure, people will do Facebook Live videos for a week or two, but then stop if they don’t get clients from it.

Or send emails to their list daily for a month, but stop because it’s too hard.

(Consistent Facebook Lives and emailing is a heck of a lot easier than diving in dumpsters to keep from starving)

It reminds me of the speech by Eric Thomas (“How Bad Do You Want It?”), where a young man asks a guru to show him how to be successful.

They meet on a beach, and the old man tells him to get into the water. He then holds his head underwater until he almost passes out. When he lifts the young man’s head up, he says:

“When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful”

That’s an attitude that’s sorely lacking in the entrepreneurial world today.

If you want success so bad you can taste it, you’d be a great fit for my Secret Coach Club.
