Back when I was a small pup, I had a kindergarten teacher named Mrs. Mabey.

Since I grew up in a small town, kindergarten was at her house, and she did something that we kids thought was really cool.

Whenever she played movies for the class, she printed up tickets for us, and before we were allowed into the theatre (which was really a family room in the basement), we had to hand her our ticket.

No ticket, no admittance. Just like a real movie theatre.

It was her way of teaching us about money at an early age, and we all felt like adults by having to give tickets for admission …

(I remember one of the movies being “Snow White” – funny what you can remember more than 30 years later!)

Although we didn’t pay real money to see the movies, having to give tickets made the whole thing special.

It’s the same with your coaching business …

If you give away your coaching for free, the client isn’t going to take it seriously.

But treat it like a real business – where the client has to invest and have skin in the game – and you’ll see better results.

Too many coaches are treating their business like a charity. They’re giving free service in the hope that it’ll lead to paying customers.
