I read an article the other day about a “secret” portage route used by Indigenous people in my province at least 1000 years ago.

The narrow path cut through the deep woods and allowed them to save a lot of time and avoid dangerous ocean travel to get to the United States. It’s mostly grown-over now, but there’s a campaign happening to clear the original route for history’s sake.

That shortcut was an ingenious move by the Indigenous people.

I’m all for being creative and saving time, and that’s the approach that I’ve taken with my business.
