HELPING COACHES GET MORE CLIENTS SINCE 2014!

The Dictionary of Coaching Places

by | Jun 22, 2017 | Blog

I recently bought a large book called The Dictionary of Imaginary Places.

It has over 1200 imaginary cities, islands, countries and continents invented by writers over the years. Here are two of my favourite places listed in the book:

=====

Klopstokia: a country of athletes. Visitors will be surprised at the sight of babies jumping six feet into the air and elderly housewives covering a mile in a few seconds. Klopstokia won the 1932 Olympic Games in spite of international efforts to prevent its victory. But for diplomatic reasons it has not entered the competition again (from Million Dollar Legs)

TrueLand: a country of unknown location, where nothing can be said or done that is not true. Visitors will find upon arrival that every one of their actions … and everything they promise must sooner or later be fulfilled (from Voyage au Monde Vrai)

=====

In honour of that book, I present to you an excerpt from my latest work; The Dictionary of Coaching Places:

Freetopia: a magical world filled with lush gardens and sparking blue streams. It’s a place where coaches work for free with as many people as they can, and those grateful clients send so many referrals to the coaches that their heads spin. Anyone entering town advising the coaches to charge for their services are branded “greedy” and chased out of town by an angry mob with pitchforks immediately.

WooWooVille (not to be confused with Whoville from How The Grinch Stole Christmas): a town where the universe insures that nothing ever goes wrong for the coaches who live there. Citizens rest comfortably in their homes, with big smiles pasted on their faces and vision boards in hand, waiting for their dreams to be manifested into existence.

Ferris Town: a quirky little town for anyone who wants to work just four hours a week. Most people leave once they realize that building a successful coaching business requires substantially more effort.

LieLand: sits across the river from TrueLand. A grimy city populated by Get Rich Quick gurus, has streets littered with shattered promises and a foul stench lingers in the air. When you’re on the I-95 look for the billboards plastered with the phrases “7-Figures” and “8-Figures” and you know you’re close. Warning: keep your wallet close to you at all times since the city is known to be a haven for pickpockets.

If you’d rather avoid these destinations and go straight to a successful coaching business, this is a lot less stressful:
