The other night we watched a movie called Split that reminded me of a lot of coaches.
This probably sounds strange, since the movie is about a madman with a split personality (23 of them to be exact) who kidnaps and torments three teenage girls …
But a lot of coaches operate like they have split personalities.
They change their niche every month, they mess around with their branding constantly, and they’re always changing where they’re hunting for clients:
One day it’s Facebook …
Then Instagram …
Or Twitter …
How about LinkedIn?
Hmmm maybe Pinterest …
Here’s the problem:
if you don’t know who you are and what you do, you can’t expect others to have a clue.
It’s not that you shouldn’t tweak and try new things as needed. That’s just part of business.
But there’s a limit to that.
If you change so often that you confuse your marketplace, that’s not a good thing.
You want people to look at you and instantly know what you’re about.
No guessing games. No confusion.
No freaky split (business) personalities.
One of the ways to get a better handle on what you’re doing is to soak in what I teach in my Secret Coach Club newsletter. It goes to print in about a week, you can get more clarity here:
